Veteran's Project

The Local History Department of PLSJ is working on an ongoing project. They are compiling information on Veterans of Jefferson County. The Korean War book has already been compiled and contains photos and service information and much more. For more information on this book, contact Sandy Day at the Schiappa Branch at (740) 264-6166. Currently, WWI, WWII and Spanish American Veteran books are compiled and can be viewed at the Schiappa Branch or online at: www.digitalshoebox.org

The genealogy department is still collecting information for the War Efforts: Civil War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War (1990), and War with Iraq (2003). Click here to print off form to send to Sandy Day at the Schiappa Branch Library for inclusion in these books.
